ABQ Manufacturing, Inc.

ABQ Manufacturing, formerly Quality Powder Coating, is a custom manufacturing enterprise. President and Founder Bruce Bell began a one-man powder coating operation in 1995, and with his quality workmanship, soon grew into a larger shop, offering more services over time.

Now with a staff of 12 and a 12,000 square foot shop floor, Bruce oversees a turn-key operation that includes Waterjet Cutting, Metal Spinning, Powder Coating, Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating, Sandblasting, Fabrication, and an assortment of other custom services.

Powder Coating is essentially a dry _x0093_paint_x0094_. It contains no solvents and is applied in its dry powder form directly to the surface of the metals to be coated. Each powder particle contains the necessary resin, pigment, modifiers and curing agent.

Powder is applied electro-statically by charging the powder particles and spraying them directly to the grounded part. The charged powder adheres to the surface until it enters a curing oven where the powder melts, bonds and More... cures to the desired surface characteristic. The result is a coating which provides a uniform, durable, high quality finish.

 Why Powder Coating?

Quality - Powder is cost effective and is superior to most liquid coatings for:

 _x0095_ Chip resistance

 _x0095_ Corrosion resistance

 _x0095_ Chemical resistance

 _x0095_ Abrasion resistance

 _x0095_ Impact resistance

 _x0095_ Adhesion

 _x0095_ Weather resistance

Environment - Since there are no solvents, the entire powder coating process is environmentally friendly.

_x0095_ There are no VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions to the atmosphere.

_x0095_ There is no generation of hazardous waste.

At ABQ Manufacturing, Inc. our systems can handle your largest and smallest parts. (25 feet long x 9 feet wide x 7 feet high). Examples of our work include:

 _x0095_ Metal Furniture

_x0095_ Railing, Fencing, Gates, Window Frames

_x0095_ Sports and Exercise Equipment, Playground Equipment

_x0095_ Aluminum Parts for Electronic Products (Precision Masking)

 _x0095_ Bumpers, Truck Racks, Wheels

_x0095_ Fusion Bonded Epoxy for Pipe, Pumps and Fittings

 _x0095_ Signs and Light Poles
