Vanguard Manufacturing

Grune Technica

Product design, industrial design, branding, innovation and development services, from concept to manufacturing. We believe a good looking product that speaks to the consumer is not enough. The looks may get the initial sale but that's not what the consumer remembers most. The product needs to perform its best; last long enough to be useful, exceed the customer's expectations, set a high bar for the competition, and build a long-term brand for you, the company selling the product.

We design, innovate and develop products using technologies, materials and processes which best suit the products intended market, use, goals, performance, and price point, to achieve the best possible market advantage. We also develop materials and processes to facilitate innovation of new products.

We design and develop a broad range of industrial & consumer products including architectural components, automotive parts & products, bicycles & components, consumer appliances and electronics, toys, furniture, More... luggage and other soft-goods, medical and scientific instruments, marine craft and products, snowboards and other sports-related products, vending machines and other mechatronic and automated equipment. We design for nearly any material and manufacturing process.

Capabilities include: innovation, industrial design, design research, mechanical design, engineering, design consulting, 2D to 3D conversion, complex 3D solid modeling and surfacing, CAE, design for manufacturing, design for assembly, embedded systems and electro-mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, CNC, RP, Resin Casting, soft-tooling, prototype injection tooling and low-volume molding, RTM, RIM, composites. We can facilitate complete product manufacturing for virtual enterprises, delivering packaged product, ready for market.

We specialize in high quality and dynamic prototypes as well as pilot runs of products we develop for testing, market assessment and capital procurement.

We utilize CNC and various forms of rapid-prototyping to build parts and patterns. Urethane castings using our proprietary RTV tooling and materials for up to 100+ cycles from a single tool, which give you a reduced cost per part. We are not a high-volume RP service bureau. We produce only the highest quality prototypes that look, feel and function like production products.

Pittsburgh Foundry & Machine Co.

Pittsburgh Foundry and Machine Company began in 1901 with William A. Smith, a hardworking 20 year-old who had a vision to build a business that would support many families and be a part of the time-honored foundry tradition in the heart of Pittsburgh, PA--where over 100 working foundries powered the engines of the steel industry. Today there are far fewer foundries, but Pittsburgh Foundry and Machine Company still serves many industries. A fourth generation and employees who have become family dedicate themselves to Smith's same vision--producing high quality castings backed by excellent customer service. And we still serve our customers from the same Lawrenceville neighborhood. West Salisbury Foundry has joined our family as well, giving you access to their tremendous talent, expertise, and 138 additional years of high quality casting manufacturing. We're an experienced American company, and we stand behind USA sourced and made materials.

Together, we want to exceed your expectations More... with superior solutions and superior service. We've worked to become the premier manufacturer and source for quality ferrous and nonferrous castings, including gray iron, ductile iron, NiHard, white iron and high chrome iron, as well as steel, stainless steel, bronze, brass, copper, aluminum, and more. We see you through from start to finish, and this dedication has helped us build many lasting customer relationships over the last 121+ years.

We want you to enjoy the experience of working with us each and every time--and we look forward to the prospect of partnering with you.
